About me
After moving from Portugal to Guernsey in 2016, I completed a level 2 ICT course at the College of Further Education with a merit level and then enrolled in the level 3 course. I am highly motivated and passionate about IT, frequently working on IT-related projects in my spare time, and always learning through inquiry. For instance, I have been an active volunteer for the Tumaini Fund, where I refurbished computers to be used by African orphans. I am a good problem solver, able to work independently and responsibly
In 2018, I received the College Student of the Year Award for my exceptional application to task and willingness to go beyond what was expected. My tutors consider me exceptional due to my effort, and they would be happy to provide a reference to that effect.

As a Junior Computer Engineer at Valley Computer Services, I provided a range of IT support services. This included setting up client computers, network routers, and network-attached storage devices, configuring Windows servers and VMWare servers, performing hardware repairs on client computers, and installing IT equipment at customer sites.
Promoted to Till Controller, a management position, in September 2018 at Marks & Spencer. Managed a team of 8-12 sales assistants, till operators, and shelf stackers, responsible for writing staff break rotas, assigning tasks, and motivating staff while reporting to the store manager. Handled customer complaints and sales assistant duties.
As a Sales Assistant, I provided excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and issues, maintaining proper stock levels, and serving customers. I was later promoted to Till Controller.
Roamed around the nightclub and collected used, empty glasses left by customers, as well as bottles, and washed dirty glasses, later returning them to the bars.
My first job in hospitality was from October 2017 to April 2018. During this time, I gained valuable experience in working under pressure and prioritizing customer satisfaction. I made the decision to leave in April 2018 to take on additional hours at my job with Marks & Spencer, at the time.
During the summer, in 2016, I started working for Manor Farm Foods as my first job. I was responsible for sorting out received goods in the appropriate places as well as keeping the workplace clean and tidy. Quit as I was leaving the island, back to my home country.
